For the next four hundred years,
the age of races worked fine,
without larger wars.
But then something happened!
The Earth began to shake.
For a few moments She trembled and tensions begun rising.
Each of them taught
that some other race caused this earthquake,
so begun the first era of war of then known world.
halfling rogues,
dwarven axebearers
and the human monks, warriors and bowmen
attacked the orcish barbarian regions
and the treacherous human settlements.
There was no rest,
the orcs just couldn't hold the pressure,
so they fell back into the last and also capital region.
As Gaia saw,
that if this kept going,
the orcs would be slain
and the existence would know no more of them,
She started to cast a spell to prevent this war.
She did not realise how powerful this spell actually was.
She sent the pillar with blue runes,
glowing with power and to the Earth.
As it crashed,
it destroyed everything and everyone on that region.
The war stopped,
Fear that another race
has developed a magic so strong,
none dared attack the other.
Within a few decades,
fear of the pillar was forgotten
and war begun yet again.
The war went on in a dirty and bloody manner,
shortly after the war resurfaced,
the pillar erupted and let out
all the magic resting inside.
It transformed into a body.
An agile body,
taller than it should be,
thin,
wearing dark robes.
His face was covered
with a simple mask
allowing only to see his
evil red eyes.
As he was terrifying enough with his size,
robes and mask,
he emitted an odd aura surrounding him.
There stood the first peacekeeper,
pillar of inteligence
Virtana.
His task was to stop the ongoing war.
suddenly,
he was there. on the battlefield.
all was still,
and he murmured an incantation raising his hands,
all heard his words,
none understood.
And hell rose to swallow all the warriors in fire.
He said,
for it was He,
Virtana the Pillar,
an elf more terrible than any elf,
yet more stunning than any elf,
with a voice,
larger than any heard before,
and probably older than world itself,
"THE WAR STOPS!"
So said Gaia,
Mother of Worlds,
She wishes peace upon her children.
She did not give you rivers,
to poison them with blood,
or the earth,
to soil her with your brothers gore!
And all knew.
And all was joy.
So begun the peace. |
