At first there was nothing.
The nothingness lasted for aeons until a miracle occurred
and a tiny speck of energy
came into existence and started to grow.
Over time this tiny grain of energy started to grow
and as it grew it became increasingly bigger
until it reached a size unimaginable by any living creature.
And at the peak of growth something odd happened:
The mass shrank to pa pinhead size and exploded creating a wild,
yet untamed universe full of stars and collapsing masses of matter,
not yet fully formed in shape and after a long time,
the stars gave birth to magic as a byproduct of their birth.
And after magic was born,
Gaia was born from a collision of a mass of magic and a rising star.
All the magic formed her body, her mind and she was alive!
But a feeling very similar to pain surged through her mind.
She burst out,
screaming,
magic
flowing out of her body with no control whatsoever,
stopping the young universe in its tracks,
dissassembling it to the tiniest of particles,
only to build them back up
from scratch into a well organized universe as it is still today.
But as the magical energy was so great still some was left and so Gaia
decided to create life.
As she observed her creations she sadly noticed that there are no
intelligent beings yet.
Gaia casted magic on the trees bringing first intelligent living beings -
Elves,
masters of magic, took their place in their forest and are rarely seen outside of it.
Next were Humans,
created out of animals with greater intelligence,
but they were not like they were meant to be.
Greed filled their minds
and they split their kingdom into three smaller kingdoms.
With Humans there came Halflings,
they were like humans only smaller and were not possessed by greed.
Their clean minds allowed them to enter the trees and get their acceptance.
Dwarves were the fourth created.
Gaia brought life to stone and then they were.
Smaller than Human, yet stronger and more resistant.
They dug deep, they drank well and they fought much.
The last Created by Gaia were the orcs,
whose creation is wrapped in a mystery.
Some say,
that they were made out of trolls and humans,
some say,
that they are only fortified Humans with less intelligence.
The Undeads were a mistake
as the Earth still held some dark magic within.
Anyone dying near that spot turned Undead
and is now forsaken.
